Image Gallery Ceramic artist Sue Burdick Young coordinated the creation of a Tibetan-themed tile mural for the festival. Tsering Phuntsok creates thangkas out of materials he gathered in Tibet. One of Phuntsok’s paintings depicts His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Wood carver Tashi Dholak continues traditions he learned from his Tibetan mentor. Many of Dholak’s pieces traveled to Plattsburgh, New York for the Tibetan festival. The Mountain Lake Mandala, a mural made from glazed ceramic tiles, incorporates both Tibetan and American motifs. The Dancers of Dhangsang Lughar learned their pieces at the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts.
